As I am new to hiking this much, I still have been weary to attempt those longer hikes incase my legs decide to go numb. This week I hiked the extended Devil’s Backbone for a total of 6 miles and then 4 days later I hiked the Rim Rock Trail, which is extended from Coyote Ridge Trail, for a total of 7 miles. Both hikes I finished in 2 hours and 20 minutes, carrying my bag filled with water and extra clothes incase it decided to rain.
My next adventure is to connect Devil’s Backbone to Coyote Ridge for a 9+ mile hike.

Devils backbone is a goodie…this time of year is probably a good time to do it with cooler temps!

Completely agree! With no shade/coverage, I’d much rather do this hike in the fall than in the summer.
