I’ve never hiked in the snow and I had no idea how I’d do, so I started out on my favorite hill, Marianna Butte. I also waited until the weather was back up to 30 degrees so I didn’t freeze.

The 2 and a half miles I did was gorgeous! And well worth it. I managed to stay dry, despite walking through snow and mud. I ditched my gloves halfway, feeling pretty warm, but my hands turned red by the end, so I learned my lesson there. Next up is a mountain!
